The Seguin High School Band recently showcased their incredible talent and dedication while hosting the UIL Region 12 4A/5A Concert and Sight Reading Contest from March 31 – April 1, 2025, at the Seguin HS Performing Arts Center. It was an outstanding event filled with music, passion, and excellence—and the Matadors did not disappoint!
A Sweepstakes-Worthy Performance
Three Seguin HS bands performed at the contest, and each delivered an impressive showing:
Varsity Wind Ensemble – Sweepstakes Award, earning Superior ratings in both Concert and Sight Reading
Wind Symphony – Sweepstakes Award, earning Superior ratings in both Concert and Sight Reading
Symphonic Band – Excellent rating for Concert and Superior rating for Sight Reading
These results reflect the hard work, discipline, and musical excellence of Seguin’s talented student musicians and their dedicated directors.
