Spring Clean-Up Day 2025: Declutter and Dispose Responsibly
SEGUIN, Texas – Spring is the perfect time for a fresh start, and the City of Seguin is making it easier than ever for residents to declutter and dispose of unwanted items responsibly. The annual Spring Clean-Up Day is set for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8 AM to noon at the Seguin Events Complex (Coliseum) parking lot.
This free event is exclusively for Seguin residents, offering a convenient way to discard junk, scrap metal, and certain appliances. Proof of residency within the city limits—such as a photo ID or utility bill—is required to participate. City employees will be available on-site to help unload items from vehicles and trailers.
What You Can Bring
If you have old junk, scrap metal, or an appliance taking up space, this is your chance to dispose of it properly. Accepted items include: ✔ Junk disposal ✔ Scrap metal ✔ Appliances (without freon) ✔ Up to 10 automobile tires (must be 19.5 inches or smaller; no rims) ✔ Paper shredding – Secure on-site shredding is available (limit of 2 bags or boxes per resident)
What’s Not Accepted
To ensure safety and proper disposal, the following items will not be accepted: ❌ Hazardous materials or chemicals ❌ Brush, tree limbs, or yard waste ❌ Fences, sheds, construction materials, or debris ❌ Appliances with freon or refrigerants ❌ Tractor-trailer, mower, bicycle, or ATV tires ❌ Tires from local businesses
Protect Your Identity with Free Paper Shredding
